From Rough Timber to Handmade Chopping Boards

Every handcrafted chopping board begins as rough-sawn timber. After carefully selecting the hardwood, individual pieces are glued together before being planed flat to reveal the timber hidden beneath the surface.

For this batch, I worked with beautiful oak, elm, sycamore, beech and sweet chestnut, each offering its own unique grain, colour and character. It's always satisfying to watch rough timber transform into something that will become a practical, long-lasting piece for someone's home.
